YIN1008: SMART WATER FLOW CONTROL SYSTEM

HANA HUMAIRAH BINTI NASRUL SMK DATUK PANGLIMA ABDULLAH

This project aims to solve the problem of unequal water distribution in an apartment building, where residents on the lower floors receive sufficient water while those on the upper floors experience little or no water supply due to low water pressure. To address this issue, a gravity-based water distribution system was developed using a water tank installed at a higher level. By placing the tank above the building, gravitational force increases the water pressure, allowing water to flow downwards efficiently to all floors. In addition, a catheter tube equipped with a flow control device is used to regulate the water flow, enabling it to be adjusted, slowed, or completely stopped when necessary. This system does not require electrical pumps, making it energy-efficient and cost-effective. Overall, this innovation provides a practical, reliable, and sustainable solution for improving water distribution in high-rise residential buildings.
