Roadside dry leaves in Malaysia are often treated as waste and disposed of through burning or landfill, contributing to environmental pollution. Our innovation transforms this neglected biomass into a plantable bioplastic seedling pot using leaf powder reinforced with starch and glycerin, coated with natural wax for water resistance. This biodegradable biocomposite pot supports early plant growth and decomposes naturally in soil within weeks, reducing plastic nursery waste and transplant shock. The project promotes circular economy principles and aligns with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land) by converting urban organic waste into a sustainable agricultural solution.
