Lukeesh A/l Pubalan Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar

This project presents the design and development of a Smart Home System that focuses on energy efficiency and home safety. The system uses an LDR sensor to automatically control lighting based on the surrounding light intensity, ensuring that lights are switched on in dark conditions and turned off when sufficient brightness is available. In addition, a flame sensor is integrated to detect the presence of fire and trigger an immediate alert using a buzzer to enhance safety. An Arduino microcontroller acts as the central control unit, processing sensor inputs and executing appropriate responses. The proposed system addresses common issues such as unnecessary electricity consumption and delayed fire detection. Overall, this low-cost and easy-to-implement system demonstrates how basic sensors and microcontroller technology can be effectively applied to create safer, smarter, and more energy-efficient homes.
