YIN204: A Smart-Controlled Ankle Rehabilitation Device For Accessible And Personalized Guided Therapy

Peemnara Weladee Montfort College

A smart ankle rehabilitation device was developed to improve access to structured physiotherapy for patients, athletes, and older adults with limited clinical supervision. The system integrates mechanical engineering, ESP32-based programmable motion control, and a Flutter mobile application to deliver safe, repeatable dorsiflexion–plantarflexion training through personalized rehabilitation modes. Prototype evaluation confirmed stable and accurate motion performance, demonstrating technical feasibility and practical applicability. Supporting SDG 3 and SDG 9, the solution provides a structured alternative to conventional rehabilitation by combining smart control, safety-focused design, and mobile-based personalization for scalable use in clinical and home rehabilitation environments.
